Well last week the chapter wasn’t as I expected, and it seem to be a let down to kakashi, a guy who was yet another main character who had quite a big effect on the story, to not even get an entire chapter dedicated for his supposed death. Well that was last week and this is a new week and a new chapter so here it is my Naruto 426 chapter review. I must say this weeks just been a good one.

I like having so many pain bodies separated around like this, it just adds a bit or variety to this konoha attack. We’ve seen deva pain and ashura pain in action already. Human pain and deva pain are still doing their things, and hell pain and hungry pain are the last to go. I think Kishi is setting up mini scenarios with these pain bodies, and after we’ve seen all the pains in proper action then this attack will begin to draw to a close. I think this is a better aspect to a war than just seeing 1 big battle.

Well hell pain again summons emba and the black flames of amatersu are shown, we also given a nice clear picture (maybe too clear) of what hell pain has been doing. Man I know he was ripping out their soul’s but why couldn’t he do it the same way Human pain did it, why did he have to look like he was ripping out a long tube of whatever that was out of their mouth’s lol. I found myself laughing as well as feeling a bit sick after this image.

Well Konohamaru’s spying reveals to us that the only ones who see the summoning are those about to have their soul’s ripped from the bodies, similar to the 4th’s death god technique in which only the user and the person being attacked could see the summoning. Also it seems to lock your soul away in it’s body, giving the infomation to the summoner.
I laughed, but felt a bit sorry for konohamaru, really acting like a ninja to just allow himself to smack his head against a pole revealing his location. It’s just something I could see naruto doing when he was that age.

Out of all the characters to appear I didn’t think it would be him (well I didn’t think konohamaru would be spying too). I can’t help but make comparisons to the young team 7 with naruto/konohamaru making mistakes and needed to be helped out by their senseis where’s the rest of konohamaru’s team?
Though he act’s tough and we haven’t seen him for a while, can Ebisu really defeat a pain body? Especially one of which can rip out souls? Well our questions are answered later in the chapter.

As ibuka prepares to fight animal pain, everyone is completely unaware as ino father and shizune escape to their new location. Yet another fight is being prepared leading up to what I believe will soon come to be the end of this attack on konoha. I wondering where Kishi is going with this, and who else could be next to die. With the death of chouji’s father I can’t help but think Ino’s dad might be next, but shizune’s death would be a bit more epic, also with human pain’s ability, with the taking of Shizune’s soul he would pretty much have all the knowledge he needs, knowing both naruto’s location as well as knowing he’s no longer in the village.

Really with shizune’s death this whole battle would be ended, but I don’t think it would come down to that, not with the way things are playing out.

Well as naruto continues to train with pa frog, he reveals to the frog that he will now learn how to enter sage mode while moving. Last week I was left gobsmacked that kishi had given yet another drawback to the main character known as naruto, but accepting and understanding this limitation, Naruto declares he has the will of his master, and will surpass the limitation and learn to use it while moving, whether he does that is another story. It’s also nice to see such maturity within naruto, I hope kishi makes naruto surpass this limitation properly and not with another seemingly fake solution, I want to see naruto surpass everyone without another kage bunshin gimmick. Pa frog once told jiraiya that he was surprised he hadn’t learned how to use sage mode alone, maybe (hopefully) naruto does what he couldn’t.

Well as expected, Ebisu vs Hell pain wasn’t a long fight, and he’s just like the two previous ninja’s held in the hand of his opponent asked the question of naruto’s whereabouts, and with Konohamaru watching from the sidelines Ebisu faceed with the question pain continually been asking throughout this attack he has a flashback starting from when naruto first became a ninja. It’s just a reminder of how the village hated him, I have to admit I thought with this attack the ninja’s of konoha would hate naruto even more, and with the reaction they had with naruto when he first became a ninja that would seem to be the case, but this changed overtime.

With the flowing event’s we’ve witnessed throughout the story, the respect the other ninja’s in konoha gained for naruto continued to increase, I was even surprised that the ninja’s of konoha even knew about naruto vs garra (which I’m glad about) gradually using his name rather than calling him the 9tails kid, and the with the news of what naruto did in order to bring the 5th back with jiraiya they completely stoped and name him with the name he was born with.

As the flashback play’s through I can’t help but be drawn into the konoha’s ninja’s feelings towards naruto actually feeling worried about his feeling’s after he failed to save sasuke, finding out about akatsuki and also finding out about jiraiya’s death. Also naruto’s actions in saving garra meant peace at least between the two countries meaning they didn’t see naruto as a monster but as a bringer of peace, something the hokages have been working towards ever since konoha’s creation.

No wonder Ebisu smiling, I was too, that was one great flashback, and it opened my eyes to something I never much thought about, last time I saw people acknowledging naruto was during the chunnin exams, and yet since then I hadn’t thought feelings from the villagers had been changing on naruto, and now he’s truly supported. I guess this is kishi nicely wrapping up the need naruto had while he was younger for being acknowledged, lol just look how awesome naruto looks with his back turned.

Last week’s chapter I was thinking konohamaru vs. pain, and with this statement it seems like the fight is actually going to happen. We know Konohamaru has kage bunshin no jutsu, he used it in his sexy no jutsu, but how his skills compare to ninja’s as strong as kakashi… well you can see where this fight is headed in terms of a winner.
